Short and Bittersweet is a compendium of 15 great Irish short films. Each one of them has won numerous awards at international film festivals. Included in the selection are four films nominated for the Oscars. They represent all varieties of strains within Irish cinematic culture — the hilarious, the beautiful, the darkly comical, the mercilessly cruel, the absolutely gross and the deeply tragic. Taken separately, they are simply the best Irish short films ever made. Taken together, they are a kaleidoscopic reflection of contemporary Irish life.

Here are some short films from the compendium: Ken Wardrup «Undressing my Mother» (Best Short Documentary 2005 — LA Film Festival), Martin McDonagh «Six Shooter» (Best Short Film Oscar), Ken Wardrup «Scoring» (Sundance Official Selection), Ken Wardrup «Farewell Packets of Ten», Johnny O’Reilly — «The Terms» (Woodstock Film Festival Best Short Film), Ken Wardrup — «Useless Dog» and others.
